of all, make the paper as small and light weight as possible. I gave them all a regular
sheet of paper and it was too heavy to lift the balloon. Plus the other problem was we
used too small of a balloon. I just purchased one of those Party packs you can buy with a
tank of helium and balloons. Those balloons are only 9 inches and they aren't big enough
to carry any weight with the helium. So we took the testimonies out of the balloons and
took them to a store that sells the balloon bouquets. Their balloons were 14" so they
handled the paper a lot better. I filled the balloons about 2 hours before our Mutual and
they weren't floating very well by the time we launched them. The wind was blowing so they
did finally take off but it was pretty funny watching them skip along the parking lot. So
from that if you have someone who offers the hi-float you probably should spend the extra
and use it.
This
really Is a wonderful activity because it allows the girls to express their testimonies in
writing. But do it right and save some frustrations.
