MISSIONARY PREPARATION CHECKLIST
Prepare yourselves by doing the things which
I have commanded you and required of you.
MENTALLY
Read uplifting church books & magazines. (Ensign, New
Era, etc.) Listen to church tapes. (Conference reports/fireside talks, etc.)
Limit the amount of TV you watch. Be selective. Learn a
second language by class, book, or tape.
PHYSICALLY
Have a positive attitude.
Maintain a regular exercise program.
Establish good eating habits-proper nutrition.
Get proper rest. (D&C 88:124)
SPIRITUALLY
Read the scriptures daily.
Pray and listen for answers to prayers.
Recognize the promptings of the spirit.
Fast with a purpose.
Value the opportunity to work hard.
Accept callings and serve to the best of your ability.
Share your testimony at every opportunity.
SOCIALLY
Show love and concern for others.
Respect others opinions, property, and culture.
Obey authority.
Show gratitude.
Develop talents-Be willing to serve others.
Be independent/Self-reliant.
Practice economy-Save money for a mission.
Have a healthy self-image. Be a happy person.
