by: Carol dyergroup@mstar2.net We just had a Mother daughter traditions night. Our stake is focused
on Family History this year, so the girls and their moms talked about family traditions
and family stories. You could ask for volunteers from the mothers to bring a 'family' dish
for refreshments. The girls had fun learning about each other, and some of the stories
were really funny. You could decorate with family photos from each of the girls, or family
heirlooms and journals. We pointed out that a tradition can be as simple as saying
'remember who you are!' when the family members leave the house. Also, that it's not how
many times you try and fail at doing a tradition, but how many times you try. It was a
nice evening.
