Just some rambling thoughts on the idea of Standing in Holy Places.  These thoughts are from a lesson I gave a couple of years ago to the YW.

Ask the YW to list Holy Places
Tempe, Chapel, etc.
Holiest Place- House of the Lord- Temple

There are Holy Places to help you reach the temple
-sac. meeting
-YW participation
-seminary attendance

What is a Holy Place? Any where the Holy Spirit can dwell.

Your own Holy Place is created when you-
-have personal prayer
-study scriptures
-bear testimony
-read & study patriarchal blessing
-attend church meetings
-heed promptings of Holy Ghost

Our Ultimate goal is to return to Heavenly Father there is no Holier Place.  Which means on earth we need to...Stand in the House of the Lord, kneel at
Altar of Temple in Marriage.

How to achieve this goal

Keep our own bodies (temples) Holy 1 Corinthians 3:16 ye are the temple of God...
Helaman 4:24 Holy Spirit cannot dwell in unholy places...

What might make "your temple" an unholy place....Mosiah 4:29-30
immodesty
impure thoughts
impure actions
R-rated movies
word of wisdom problems
gossip
language
music

If you want to "Stand Ye in Holy Places", i.e. kneel at altar of Temple, return to Heavenly Fathers presence...requires sacrifice.

It is not always easy or convenient to live the gospel standards and stand for truth.   It is easy to give up what we want most...for what we want now. Make hard decisions ahead of time...with a goal in mind.

There is a great story of King Louis 16 of France and how he stood for his standards and principles. It was in an Ensign don't remember which issue
though.

LDS YW are different for other youth. They have made covenants and commitments to Heavenly Father that other youth have not. They are responsible for every decision they make and will be held accountable. But they have the Holy Ghost to help them and other youth do not.

YW choices now will result in how easy or difficult it is to later "Stand Ye in Holy Places" such as the temple.

Pres. Monson asked "We know where we want to go. Do we have the resolution -even the faith- to get there?

"All of you have difficult situations in your lives, but you know the source of your spiritual strength. Every time you pray, or read scriptures, bear testimony or stand for the right you shut down the powers of evil in your life. When you walk down the halls at school and see other students do you think to yourself I am different? You and not better than they are...but your knowledge of and your commitment to the Savior make you different, that difference can be a blessing, a great advantage."

Living the standards requires courage not compromise.

These are just ramblings from an old lesson...but I thought there were different things that might be made into monthly themes

Stand Ye in Holy Places as we attend our meetings i.e. seminary, YW, sac meeting.
Stand Ye in Holy Places as we study our scriptures.
Stand ye in Holy Places as we make our prayers more meaningful.
Stand Ye in Holy Places as we keep our bodies a holy temple

The phrasing may be off but I think this theme really brings home the chance to focus on the basics. What a great opportunity to coordinate the
FSOY to the theme. You could take almost any part of the FSOY and apply it to the theme because if they live the FSOY they will be worthy to "Stand Ye in Holy Places".
