Our YW Sacrament Meeting program will be held Oct. 22, and we will be using the Stand as a Witness theme. Specifically, the scripture (used at the Fall Open House) in 1 Timothy 4:12 "Be thou examples of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity." It is amazing how the Standards of Personal Worthiness fit into these 6 areas, so our talks will be based on how living the Standards help us to stand as witness of the Savior Jesus Christ. 

1. Examples "in word": I can stand as a witness of the Savior by honoring my word, honoring my father and mother, being honest in thought, word and action.
   
2. Examples "in conversation": I can stand as a witness of the Savior by refraining from swearing, gossiping, criticizing others, and other unworthy speech,.. and by sharing my testimony.
   
3. Examples "in charity": I can stand as a witness of the Savior by making my family life better, experiencing the blessing of work and the sweetness of service in family, church, or community,
   
4. Examples "in spirit": I can stand as a witness of the Savior by praying in private daily, seeking the guidance of the Spirit.
   
5. Examples "in faith" I can stand as a witness of the Savior by exercising faith, applying the principles of repentance and forgiveness, and participating in church meetings and seminary,
   
6. Examples "in purity": I can stand as a witness of the Savior by keeping morally clean and obeying the Word of Wisdom.
   
7. A concluding testimony of Jesus Christ by our Laurel class president.

Our special numbers will be "His Image In Your Countenance" and "I Know that My Redeemer Lives". I will be encouraging the girls to include the examples they wrote up earlier this year where they have actually stood as witnesses of Jesus Christ and stood up for righteousness and asking them to conclude with their testimonies. The girls do everything from ushering, bulletin cover, conducting, organ playing, to talks.

We are going to use the theme of "Standing Together" and then having talks on:

Be Outstanding (Personal Perfection)

Don't Just Stand There (Service)

Stand Still and Listen (Holy Ghost)

Take a Stand (Making a Difference)

Stand and Bear It (Testimony)

That's as far as we've gotten, but it's a start.
