SAAW - Missionary Moments

With the theme of Stand as a Witness, we thought it would be a good way to show how the girls can be missionaries in many different ways. We also called it Missionary Moments and attached a sign that says "M & M"'s--have you had yours today?" to a mini-size box of m & m's. We explained that "M & M" stands for "missionary moment" and that as you stand as a witness, you are being a missionary to nonmembers and members alike.

Have your young women had good experiences sharing their testimonies with someone? A family member, friend, grandparent, other young women, nonmember friend? Try this at several opening exercises throughout the year and challenge the girls to "Stand as a Witness" by sharing their testimonies with others.

--Have one or two young women tell about an experience when she has had to Stand as a Witness this past month. These were M&M moments! Reward--M&M's.

--Did any of the young women share their testimony in sacrament meeting at the last fast and testimony meeting? That's an M&M moment! Reward--M&M's.

--Did any of a young woman write her testimony in a letter to a missionary, friend or relative? Did she share it during family home evening? That's an M&M moment! Reward--M&M's.

--Did any of the young women bring a nonmember to a church activity? Invite her to share how she asked her friend, how did she feel afterward? That was an M&M moment! Reward--M&M's.

We copied the following onto colorful cardstock and cut it with cute edger scissors (finished size was about the size of a business card), punched a hole in it and tied it onto a mini-sized box of M&M's.

Don't forget to "Stand as a Witness" and
share your testimony with someone you love.
Everybody needs a little M&M!
