Supplies-
1qt. zip-lock bag
1gal zip-lock bag
1cup cream
1cup milk
1/3cup sugar
1teaspoon vanilla
6 sheets of newspaper
Masking tape
1/2 cup rock salt
crushed or cubed ice
Poor the cream, milk, sugar, and vanilla into the 1qt. bag. Push all the air out of it and
seal tightly!!! (When I did it, I sealed the top and then put tape on it.) Place
the bagged mixture inside the gallon bag and fill half full with ice. Take a 1/4 cup of
salt and poor it onto the ice. Do the same thing with the remaining ice and salt. Push all
the air out of it and seal tightly. Spread two piece of newspaper out, place the
ice cream mixture on it. Fold corner to corner, and go "tape happy!" (JK)
Continue this process with the rest of the newspaper and tape.(A square shape seems to
work the best.) After you've finished, throw it from person to person (like a football)
for about fifteen minutes. Don't get to far away from each other when throwing it because
the small bag can open and get salt in it. YUCK! Try not to drop it ether. Make sure
that you open the newspaper over a garbage can, it gets messy sometimes.
Serves about 3 people.
Enjoy!!!
*it would be fun to have each group bring their favorite treat and put it into the ice
cream!!!

Take your favorite homemade ice cream recipe. Put it into a
#10 can with a plastic lid. Duct tape the lid onto the can. Get a five gallon bucket and
put the #10 can inside of it. Finish filling five gallon bucket with five parts of ice to
one part of rock salt. Duct tape lid onto five gallon bucket. Lay five gallon bucket on
its side and kick and roll around for about 20-30 minutes.
P.S. - fill #10 cans no more than 1/2 full. If you lay #10
cans on their sides, you can get two of them into a five gallon bucket and do two at one
time. You will want to have a tarp laying down to roll buckets on.
