1 pint (16 oz.) sour cream
1 package (10 oz.) frozen chopped spinach, thawed and squeezed dry
1 envelope Lipton Recipe Secrets Onion Soup Mix

In medium bowl, combine all ingredients. Cover and chill at least 2 hours.  Serve, if desired, with chips or cut-up fresh vegetables. Makes about 3 cups dip. Also terrific with Lipton Recipe Secrets Vegetable Soup Mix.  This recipe came from www.lipton.com

Spinach Dip
1 pt. dairy sour cream
1 c. mayonnaise
3/4 pkg. (2 3/4 oz.) dry leek soup mix (about 1/2 c.)
1 (20 oz.) pkg. frozen chopped spinach, well drained
1/2 c. chopped parsley
1/2 c. chopped green onions
1 tsp. dry dill
1 tsp. dry Italian salad dressing mix
1 loaf sheepherder's bread, unsliced

Combine all ingredients until well blended. Refrigerate until ready to serve or up to 2 days.   Dip can be served in a hollowed out loaf of sheepherder's bread - slice a lid off like a pumpkin and remove the soft white bread inside. Place dip in the bread just before serving.

I just use the recipe on the box of KNORR Vegetable Soup mix. It's a dry soup mix and I can't remember everything that goes in it but I think it's
mayonnaise, sour cream, soup mix, waterchestnuts and spinach. It's so delicious.

Spinach Dip
1 pkg. Knorr Spring Vegetable Soup Mix
1 1/2 cup sour cream
1 cup mayonnaise
1 - 10 oz. pkg. frozen chopped spinach
1 - 8 oz. can sliced water chestnuts, halved
3 green onions, chopped

Thaw spinach and squeeze dry. Stir soup mix, sour cream, and mayonnaise until blended. Stir in spinach, water chestnuts, and onions. Cover; chill 2 hours. Stir before serving. Makes 4 cups. Serve with bread chunks.

P.S. I make a loaf of bread in my bread machine (it's the round kind), then cut off the top, hollow out the inside, and break the bread up into chunks. The hollowed out loaf is perfect for the dip! I place it on a serving platter with the bread chunks around it and it looks pretty as well as tasting GREAT, and it was EASY.
