We had our NB last night. It seem to be a success!
We had thirteen of 21 YW there with their mothers. That is a big
deal
for us ;o)
We set up the RS room like a Bistro- Bombs Away Cafe (this was to go
along with the invitations we made in the shape of bombs.)
Little tables with 4 chairs around each, salt, pepper and a Value
Menu.
(Choice and Accountability Cheesecake- To eat or not to eat? It is
worth
the weight!, etc)
We did the secret agent skit with a little twist to the original.
The
senior agent delivered valued colored papers to the hidden girls and
they
read them out loud. We wanted the girls to be as big a part of this
as
possible.
Then we spotlighted the 3 new agents and they were given a candy
gram.
My daughter is one of the 'new agents', she doesn't even want to eat
the
candy she loves the message so much.
The girls then served their moms dinner. Divine Nature Deli
Sandwiches
with Good Works Potato Salad (each potato was peeled with service in
mind)
It was a nice simple evening. We had a Laurel in charge for her 10
hour
project. We gave her the theme and she got the girls for the skit,
the
props, decided and shopped for food with YW pres), made all of the
cheesecakes (with other laurels), conducted, and made the candy
grams.
It was great to see her blossom with this responsibility.
