We are working on Leadership Training. We want to focus on Individual
Worth. One of our counselors came up with an object lesson with
Candy Bars...she wants to wrap the bars up for instance with duct or
masking tape, maybe smudge one label, tape over and write a misleading
name on one, maybe cut open a Hershey bar and slide in a Mounds Bar.
This is to get across the message that no matter what the outside is
like, if you work hard enough, or look past the outer wrapper, you can
get to the good sweet stuff! Just like with YW! But, we are having a
problem figuring out just how to present this...do we just pass a
basket around, telling the leaders to take one, and then ask why they
picked the one they did, or ask how they felt about the one they picked?
If you have any ideas, or have done anything like this, please email me
and let me know!
