Bearing with the B's
By Alison Moore Smith
The words of God's own prophet
Always bear repeating.
So remember all the B's.
Your devotion he's entreating.
Be grateful to your parents,
Your friends and teachers, too.
Be grateful to your Savior
Who bears burdens just for you.
Get an education.
Be smart and use your brain.
If you don't you will be sorry-
All your life you'll bear the pain.
Choose entertainment wisely
And you can have a ball.
Be clean and modest in your dress.
Please don't "bear" it all!
Be true to your convictions,
You know the right and wrong.
Bear testimony gladly.
Stand as a witness strong.
There is no place for arrogance,
Egotism or conceit.
Be humble and obedient,
You'll keep your bearings neat.
When you really have a problem
And can "bearly" make it through,
Get on your knees, be prayerful,
And solutions come to view.
So on this Christmas Eve
A bear I give to you
To remember our dear prophet
And to God's word be true.
