YW Value Project – Learn leadership skills, delegate

Everything should be recorded in detail. Meet with the
YW Presidency often. Keep them updated on progress of the activity and
ask for assistance when needed. Responsibilities may also be delegated
to the YW Leaders.

· Gather
supplies. Delegate who can bring supplies if they can’t supply it. If
any supplies need to be purchased discuss this with the YW Presidency
first.
· Come
up with a country for each group to be called to. The YW presidency
will tell you how many groups there will be.
· Make
a sign for each station with its name (except the WRITING LETTERS
station).
· Make
a sign for each group with the name of its country on it. (Get this
information from the YW Presidency)
· Decide
who should be the speakers, conducting, announcing awards (obtain
approval before asking the speakers).
· Ask
the missionaries to attend and explain their role to them. They should
arrive at least 20 minutes before the activity starts.
· Ask
leaders or other adult members of the ward to conduct each station (they
need to be at the activity at least 20 minutes before it starts to show
them their station and give them further instruction). They should know
in detail what they are doing before they get there.
· Make
care packages for the refreshments.
· Make
the refreshments. Make a dessert that can be put in a little sandwich
baggie (cookies, brownies, etc.). Attach a quote or thought pertaining
to missionary work on each treat.
· Make
award stickers.
· Be
at the activity at least 1-2 hours before it starts to set up each
station and get things in order.
The YW Presidency will be in charge of making the name
tags and mock mission call letters. They will also obtain a list of all
the youth that are to attend and divide them into groups.
