| by: Alice Gifford Living The Gospel on a Daily Basis
This was something I did for a lesson a few
years ago that was fun.
Come dressed in dirty
clothes, or an old bathrobe, hair in a few curlers, or extremely messy hair, comb hanging
out of hair, or a few hair clips here and there, food on face, one sock on, one sock off,
chipped nail polish, .... you get the picture.
Walk into the classroom but don't say
anything yet about your appearance.
Teach Lesson Living the Gospel on A Daily
Basis
End with: "You are
probably wondering why I've come tonight in this condition. Well, the truth is that
yesterday I spent a lot of time getting ready for the day. I showered, brushed my teeth,
combed my hair, put on clean pressed clothing and basically spent a lot of time and effort
to look my best. I felt good about myself all day and felt like I could accomplish a lot..
So today when I got up, I thought since I'd put so much effort into yesterday, I could get
by today with just a little self maintenance. I might not look quite as polished, but I
think I look okay....what do you think????
Compare your appearance to
living the gospel on a daily basis and how important it is vs. living the gospel only on
Sundays or every couple of days.
