Mutual Activities to Reinforce -

• Chart the Course - Read the Book of Mormon in 90 days - Begin together at Mutual-and keep a chart of progress for incentive.

• Search the Scriptures - Make your own ward Plates of "Silver" and engrave words of advise for next years New Beehives to study and ponder. Make them out of cardboard covered with foil. "Engrave" your message in a code with a pencil or pen that will not tear the foil; i.e. $ is the letter "a", ~ is the letter "b" and so on. and let them translate the Words of __________.

• One of our High Councilors told us about this game he played called "Blackout"...Everyone is in the gym. There are two teams - one team is trying to get a chalk board eraser to one side of the gym and the other team the opposite side in the dark. (or maybe a sock - because it could get wild and a sock won't hurt ---- might smell, but won't hurt - okay, use a clean one (LOL) Every minute to so, you flip the "lights" back on - everyone has to freeze but at least they can see where their teammates are and where the sock is - then the lights go out again – until a team gets the object to the desired side. The analogy I see here is we can go through life in the dark without any help or we can search the scriptures for "light and knowledge".

• Last year one of my counselors made me a "Scripture of the Month" clip out of a clothespin with a wooden heart (approx. 2 l/2 x 2") glued on the front. She painted it dark green (value of Knowledge reinforced °Ü°) and with gold puff paint (I think that's what she used) she wrote "Study my Words" on the heart and outlined the heart with little gold dots. Hope that makes sense. She typed up all of the "scripture of the month" that our stake was memorizing and laminated them. Then she cut them into strips - one for each month. I still use my clip. This would be a fun activity to reinforce Lesson 30. You could decide what scriptures to give them... Personal Progress related, your stake scriptures of the month, or whatever you'd like. This year we have been memorizing the Articles of Faith °Ü°
