Smilnthru@aol.com There is a song that is perfect for this lesson called
"Come Unto Him". It is on the New Testament Video soundtrack - the one used in
Seminary. You can buy the CD for $1.25, I think, at the Distribution Center.
I taught this lesson almost exactly as it was written, except for substituting a quote at
the end from James E. Faust (shown below). We had several girls bare their testimonies at
the end - two were assigned but two more volunteered. It is a wonderful lesson and I would
do it the same way again. For our group of Laurels, it was perfect.
"It is my testimony that we are facing difficult times. We must be courageously
obedient. My witness is that we will be called upon to prove our spiritual stamina, for
the days ahead will be filled with affliction and difficulty. But with the assuring
comfort of a personal relationship with God, we will be given a calming courage."
(James E. Faust, "That We Might Know Thee" Ensign, Jan. 1999)
