by: Dannyel dcrane32@juno.comI found a couple of handout ideas
on the internet. I am planning on using the first on for my lesson tomorrow. Hope it
helps:
#1 Get a roll of Lifesavers candy for each girl. Attach a note that says,"Be a
lifesaver in your family." Spread sweetness liberally.
#2 Serve each girl a doughnut. Remind them of Dale Carnegie's quote about "Surround
yourself with goodness, just like the hole in the doughnut."
I am also using the church video, " Family First" It is about the importance of
having Family Home Evening. I am going to stress the importance of being a willing
participant in weekly FHE. How that can bring Harmony into their homes. I don't know about
you but sometimes my teenagers make FHE a real chore and not very fun. My prayer is this
will put a new perspective on it for the YW.
I also am making up a copy of the poem written by M Ann Margetson called One Person Can
Make a Difference. This is a great poem and I am going to print it on scrapbook paper
andput it in a protector so each girl may keep it.
