Erickson jennerick@msn.comAt the beginning it suggests to have a gift for each girl and inside
the gift will be a piece of paper that has a talent written about the girl (from her mom).
Besides the gift and spotlighting each girl I'm going to tell a true story of a sister in
our ward thats from Holland. Years ago when she first came to America she discovered
popcorn. She loved it. She would write home and tell them about popcorn, which they hadn't
even heard of. She liked it so well, she decided to send some unpopped popcorn home. They
got this bag of popcorn but didn't know how to cook it. They decided to boil some water
and cook it that way. They couldn't figure out why it was so great. They didn't
like it at all.
Well, if you think about your talents and you get them "heated" up and really
start to cook them the right way, it comes out nice and fluffy and really yummy to eat.
But if you don't do anything with the unpopped popcorn its not too good to eat.
I'm giving each girl a small amount of unpopped popcorn and a small bag of popped popcorn
to remind them that we need to be working hard on our talents.
