Lori in Colorado JustWtlMe@aol.com For a handout, I typed "Fasting is a true form of worship....
REMEMBER: Today is Fast Sunday" onto cardstock and glued a magnet on the back.
I also got a great idea from a sister on the YW List, and it worked real well to handout
at the end of my lesson. On a piece of paper type: "Don't let hunger pangs keep you
from being spiritually fed...." Then below that type: "Fasting snacks for
spiritual nourishment: Bible, Book of Mormon, Doctrine & Covenants, Pearl of Great
Price, Ensign, New Era, Friend". Then put the paper in a ziploc baggie. I then put
the baggies in a basket with a "sign" on it that said "snacks". The
girls looked at this basket all through my lesson! I made like I "almost forgot"
and told them that I bet they were hungry with it being Fast Sunday and all, and told them
that I brought them some snacks. Then I passed out the baggies. They were disappointed at
first but they really loved the idea once they caught on.
