For lesson #7 I called each of my Mia Maids mothers and had them tell me over the phone things their daughters were doing that showed they were developing homemaking skills. I didn't want just cooking, cleaning, etc. but ways they showed patience, compassion, kindness, budgeting money, love of beauty, music, etc. I also had them tell me some things that their daughters needed to work on. I then typed up the descriptions, printed them off. At the point in the lesson where it talks about how the girls can be preparing for homemaking, I hung up the descriptions and reading each description aloud, I had the girls match the descriptions from their moms with the girls. They got a big kick out of it and it made them see that they are preparing for heir future homes everyday. Their description was given to them to take home. It worked in my class!
