We had a great activity last night that I got from the list.

We had my 1st counselor in a makeshift bath tub (2 small rectangle tables laid legs to legs) covered in white sheets and filled with balloons. She wore a t-shirt with balloons pinned all over her and knee length shorts so she could stick her legs up (painted toenails and all) and "wash" them with her long handled bath brush. She wore a bathing cap and a sinus eye mask. I spread rubber duckies on the floor around the tub and put up a shower curtain.

We had her behind a partition and 2 of us leaders (dressed in our PJ's) sang a couple of verses of "Splish Splash" while we opened the partition. We then told the girls they could ask her questions about health issues! ( but we already had the questions written out)  She is a nurse and had some great questions for them to draw out of a bag. We just went down the line and each girl would draw out a question and she (nurse) would answer them with a "rich girl" accent and a funny edge to it! The girls loved it and were actually asking their own questions! She had already broken the ice with some VERY embarrassing questions, They giggled at some of the questions but really listened when she gave the answer!

She really hammed it up so it was great!! I held a play microphone and did it like a talk show. I passed out BUBBLE gum before we started and had snowballs (marshmallow & coconut) for refreshment.

Very good activity!!!! Thanks to whomever came up with it!!!

To tie into the lesson, you might explain that it is important that we are knowledge about the things we put into our bodies and sometimes it pays to read the ingredients °Ü°
