Preparation:  Prepare sandwich invitations. Order a 4-ft. long bread from a local bakery. Set a checkered table for ingredients, and provide utensils with appropriate labels on each. As you give the presentation, prepare the meal, then invite everyone to enjoy the picnic together.

Did you ever get the feeling that you 'sandwich" your stewardship calling in between everything else that demands your time-and most of the time it turns out to be a "jam" sandwich! Let's make a sandwich together and see what kind of picnic we can have by combining our resources and talents.

MAIN COURSE:
A Sandwich (definition): To squeeze or crowd in (Webster's Dictionary)

Bread:  Bread is the foundation of your sandwich, made from nutritious wheat, the "staff of life." Personal Progress is the our foundation. An activity based on values, principles from lessons built with prayer feed and nourishes the soul.

Butter: Next we need to spread on the smooth texture of butter. Love is the smooth coating for our stewardship and can help to "round off" any uneven textures of our calling.

Miracle Whip:  A sandwich just wouldn't be a sandwich without it. When you spread your sandwich with praise, it acts like a 'miracle."  Don't forget to say thank you to those who help

Mustard: Most of us like the little extra "tang' mustard gives our sandwich, even though to some it might seem a bit spicy. lf we are prepared for the tang, it adds to the overall flavor of our sandwich. And like the proverbial mustard seed, we should all be prepared for those extra challenges our stewardship might provide from time to time.

Meat: To make a sandwich a real meal, it helps to add meat. We all need "to meet" regularly together to partake of the sacrament, to strengthen our testimonies, and to learn gospel principles. Some like a little ham in their sandwiches. Occasionally, "hamming" it up can add the benefits of a sense of humor to your calling-and that's no "bologna!"  Activities that reinforce the lessons taught can be fun!!!!!!

Cheese: Cheese is a very important ingredient in our sandwich. We all like to feel important once in a while. So occasionally, it is nice to let others be the "Big Cheese" and delegate some of the responsibility-and share some of the glory-with them-involve other class members - even if they are not in the presidency.

Tomato: Some may say "tah-MAY-tah" and others may say "toe-MAH-toe," but procrastination is another matter. Don't put off til tomorrow the preparations for your area of stewardship. And any way you say it, we all need to appreciate everyone's individual differences. (Listen to everyone's ideas)

Pickle: Some folks love the zesty taste of a pickle, but don't  you find yourself "caught in a pickle,"' remember to plan ahead, don't just plan an activity to have an activity. . Don't let your pickle make you pucker!

Lettuce: Our sandwich wouldn't be complete without the crisp crunch of lettuce. In each area of stewardship, LETTUCE endure, LETTUCE cooperate, LETTUCE be prepared.

Bread: Remember, although bread is the staff of life, man does not live by bread alone. Study the lesson, and apply the gospel principles and discover the hidden values

Chips: Everyone needs to 'chip' in to make a picnic-or an activity a success & gospel related.

7-up: To avoid the blahs, remember to add some sparkle and enthusiasm to your area of stewardship

Ladybugs: No picnic is complete without those uninvited little guests. You will find that we will keep "bugging" you about your stewardship throughout the year, but it is only because we love you. We want you to succeed and do your best, and we you to be the best class presidency there is. After all, if we didn't have any bugs, we wouldn't have anything to overcome, and there would be no challenges to help us grow

UTENSILS: (Copy and tape on each appropriate piece in every place setting.

Knife:   A sharp class presidency &  teacher plans well.

Fork:    Dig Into every lesson. Don't let any golden chances slip through.

Spoon:  A spoonful of love should be given with each lesson-and sprinkled all week long

Glass:  Quench the spiritual thirst of those whom you have stewardship - if  someone is not here - call them.  Let them know they were missed.

Plate:   Gospel-centered spiritual food Is what our Savior would have us give to those whom we serve.

Napkin: Get absorbed in your calling. - Plan, Simplify, & Be Strong
