along. °Ü° SOS PAD Have you ever thought about the great potential of the "SOS" Pad? The SOS pad comes from one of the most powerful sources of strength known to man. STEEL. Steel is used to build great tall buildings, massive bridges, ships, aircraft, trains, cars, appliances, tools, toys, etc. It's uses are many and it's main purpose is to give strength and endurance. Now the SOS pad is a derivative of steel or you might say it is the parent to the SOS pad. It is made of steel wool and is treated with cleaning and polishing agents. It's main purpose is to clean and polish items and bring a perfect shine. The uses of the SOS pad are many, as it not only cleans and polishes pots and pans but it does the same for appliances, tools, sports, equipment, Bar-B-Que grills, tires, hub caps, etc. As you can see it's a very handy and useful item to have around your home. The name given to this item is quite appropriate in that meaning in code stands for HELP and that's exactly what it is in most of our households. Now let us liken the SOS pad to our purpose and potential as children of God and Young Women leaders and teachers. Our Heavenly Father sent us here to earth to gain a body and to prove ourselves by keeping His commandments and serving others. We came from the GREATEST SOURCE OF STRENGTH ever known to man. He is all powerful. all knowing and completely perfect. He is our parent. So this means that we must have obtained some of His strength and we have great potential. Through prayer, fasting, studying the scriptures and being prepared, we too can serve with great purpose. We have the ability when living the gospel teachings to "LET OUR LIGHT SHINE", and bring about a far greater "shine" than any SOS pad can ever do. Let us be receptive to that great call for help and serve in our callings with a greater magnitude than ever before. Let us "SERVE OUR SAVIOR" by teaching his lambs the gospel so well they will never stray from the fold. If we do this we will be fulfilling our purpose and Heavenly Father's goal of "Bringing to pass the immortal and eternal life of man." May each one of us strive to do this great work and not only bless those that we serve with in Young Women's but bless our families in building up the KINGDOM! Home
