| LAMB - Less Active Members Back Object: Each girl is assigned a LAMB (less active YW member)
They become the "Shepherd".
Set up a with a nice tablecloth and put a
large puffy lamb that someone might have at their home on the table and a few little
lambs. Put a picture of Christ with a staff and small framed saying that
reads...."Feed My Sheep"
Each girl is given a laminated paper with
her "lamb's" name, address and phone number on it. It could also have a small
picture of a lamb on it.
The "shepherd" is to invite their
assigned LAMB to EVERY YW weekly activity, to offer a ride or help find transportation if
necessary, to invite them to Sunday meetings and to either visit with a little treat or
send a card or something once a month to let her know that they really are thinking about
her.
Sometimes the hardest obstacle is having
someone to walk-in with. The YW not only need to call but also to friendship and help them
feel comfortable when the "do" come to an activity.
