CLASS PRESIDENCY RESPONSIBILITIES

Working with their Young Women adviser, the class presidency helps plan a program of activities to reinforce the Young Women Values and to reach every girl in the class. Each member of a class presidency needs to prayerfully seek the guidance of her Father in Heaven in her calling.

Under the direction of the Young Women adviser the class presidency-

1. Meets regularly in a class presidency meeting to prepare an agenda for class meetings and activities, make assignments, and learn leadership skills.

2. Watch over each class member by doing such things as-

A. Visit, fellowship and activate all young women within the class.

B. Reporting on the status of each class member to a member of the Bishopric.

3. Plan and help conduct opening exercises of the Sunday Young Women meeting. Members of the class presidency should also take turns conducting class meetings.

4. Plan and implement activities to reinforce Young Women Values taught in Sunday lessons. All activities should help young women use gospel principles in their lives, learn skills, develop talents, practice social graces and strengthen family relationships. Activities should also help young women share the gospel and learn to reach out to others in loving service.

5. Help each class member achieve her personal and group goals.

6. Work with the class secretary to keep records and reports current.

In addition, the class president represents the needs and interests of her class in bishopric youth committee meetings.
