We are using the theme "Let the Holy Spirit Guide" throughout the year, so for NB our theme is "A Whole New World" (Aladdin). The idea is that if we let the Holy Spirit Guide us in all we do, then He will show us a whole new world with a new fantastic point of view (from the song). We want the girls to be focused on scripture study and prayer and to listening to the promptings of the Holy Ghost.

In regards to Personal Progress we are giving them a small paper box with Hershey's Treasure chocolates that says "Personal Progress: Let the Holy Spirit Guide and treasures you will find inside". We want the girls to be prayerful about setting and working on their goals and to try to focus on the process of Personal Progress and not just on trying to check the goals off their list of things to do.

We are having three short speakers: the first is one of the YW who is graduating and going into "a whole new world of college", the second is entering "a whole new world of marriage", and the third just entered "a whole new world of motherhood" with her firstborn child. I asked them to speak about how the YW program prepared them for time in their life and how they now rely on the spirit for guidance.

We also rewrote some of the words to "A Whole New World" and have a mom/daughter team singing it for our closing song.  (for example: [verse] - "let the Holy Ghost guide...See new hope in your future...The world looks shiny and new your...Reaching wonderful new heights...[chorus] - A whole new world...a new fantastic point of view...Heavenly Father knows the Holy Ghost...Can help and comfort you...)

We are decorating with crushed velvet strips of material with tassels sewn on the ends (for magic carpets), I got "genie bottles" from www.oriental.com in all of the value colors ($15/dozen) which we have put a "message" inside (scripture & words to hymn "Let the Holy Spirit Guide, Hymn #143), we have tables set up with the YW posters, plus a table with the "7 Wonders of the World" which displays the 7 values.

We are having the Laurels put on a skit about how 3 different princesses work (or don't work) to becoming queens (personal progress related). We made it into a slide show to save time.

We are serving bread with olive oil & balsamic vinegar, then we have cut up fruit (value colors) to dip in chocolate sauce for dessert.
