Contributed by: Cindy Wright Wrightkc@aol.comOur YW did a spook alley last
Halloween. We did a few things... In one room, we made a mad scientist laboratory. They
had all sorts of odd things in glass canning jars. The room was decorated with
medical type supplies -- complete with a skeleton. The YW advisor had lots of great
stuff she pulled off the internet. I wish I could give you a website, but perhaps
you can do a little hunting.
They had the usual "feeling" boxes with peeled grapes for eyeballs, etc...
All the children went through it several times. In another room, we read "ghost"
stories -- not too spooky. We made the room like a graveyard with funny tombstones (again,
pulled off the web -- look under epitaphs) We had three girls who were covered with dirt
(earth colored blankets) in front of the gravestones. They each had a flashlight. They
each would "rise up from the dead" and tell their story while holding the
flashlight under their chin to give themselves that scary look. It was a hit!
