Dear Participants,

Walk With Christ is an activity that will help bring the youth of our ward to a better understanding of Christ's last days on Earth.  They will travel through seven different rooms each portraying a different event.

The final room is "Christ is Risen" where they will all be addressed together by the bishop about the Atonement.

Simple guidelines have been given as to what kind of decor you may want to put in your room. These are only guidelines and you may decorate as you wish,within the description of the scriptures given and as the Spirit may guide you.

The last supper and judgment of Christ certainly call for actors in the room (Pilate, one of the Twelve Apostles--someone who can tell what Christ did at this particular place). The Garden of Gethsemane would probably be best as a room without anyone in it so that the entire focus is on Christ's picture.

Also, a scripture should be given or posted in each room. The scriptures that pertain to each subject are listed.

Remember things like special lighting, (lamps and spots) as well as quiet music will add a lot to a setting.

The kids will come to each room in small groups.  They will go to them in order so room Group 1 will finish first. We will probably have about six groups and each room should last for two to three minutes per group. Then the bishop will be able to take 15 to 20 minutes at the end to speak.

Last Easter we decorated the room as if for the last supper including the basin and cloth, glass of juice and pita bread for the sacrament. Then we showed the video "The Lamb of God." We had just finished the 14 days with the Savior modified from this list and used the last few minutes for testimonies. It was for combined YM and YW and went very well.
