lillvall2.gif (308 bytes)"Easter In An Egg"lillvall2.gif (308 bytes)

For a unique presentation of the often-heard Easter Story, cut apart the following scriptures and put them in correspondingly numbered plastic eggs. Add the appropriate items (in parentheses).  For FHE, sever the eggs in a decorated basket, from an egg carton, or at each setting at the dinner table, or hide them and let the children find them (then share the Easter Story with the family). Or play a game of "scrambled eggs" by having players match the scriptures to the items, putting the story in sequence.

TEACHING IDEAS: 1) Have older children find the scripture in their scriptures read and mark them. 2) For younger children you may have to tell the story in your own words, so they can understand, but still help them find the scriptures in their scriptures. 3) In time once they learn the story they can tell the story by using object or have a scripture chase, see who can find the scripture first when the egg is open and the object seen.
