Need a quick inexpensive and unique gift to give for Christmas? Try this:
Festive Jar of Lights

Find a old used bottle. It can be tall, fat, or odd shaped. If you don't have one, the "All a Dollar" type of stores often sell inexpensive ($1.00) elegant looking glass bottles with corks on them. The ones that are 14" to 18" look great. The jar can be clear or colored.

You will need 1 string of mini  Christmas lights, clear or colored, one package of raffia and one role of cloth bow making ribbon (fabric cut into 2" strips, long enough to make a nice bow, approx. 2 1/2 yards, starched and pressed will also do).

Instructions:
Stuff the lights into the bottle, leaving the cord out to plug into an electrical outlet. Notch the cork on one side (if there is one on the jar) to allow a place for the cord to come out of the jar. Tie the raffia around the neck of the jar. Tie the ribbon on top of the raffia. Fluff the two bows, plug in the lights and enjoy the beautiful festive arrangement.

Items needed:
1 tall jar preferably with cork lid
1 string of Christmas mini lights
1 small package raffia
1 roll cloth Christmas ribbon
A friend or someone who needs a friend to give it to!
