Here are a few female heroes from the book
"Daughters of God, by Michael S. Wilcox" I gave a talk last summer using several
of these women.
There are the three daughters of Onitah who have the "courage and conviction" to
preserve their virtue at the cost of their lives. (Abraham l:ll)
Rebekah - are we the kind of women who would be worth traveling long and dangerous roads
for? Do we "go and do", do we "walk or run" when needing to give
"water"?
Rachel - When Rachel was told by Jacob what he'd been commanded to do, her reply was:
" Whatsoever God hath said unto thee, do)
Rahab - When we discover truth we must exercise faith and courage.
Deborah - A Woman of Wisdom and Integrity - She judged her people by drawing upon the
spiritual gifts the Lord had given her.
There is also Abish, Jephthah's Daughter, Ruth, Hannah, The Widow of Zarephath. The list
is many!!!!!
Nancy wrote: And wasn't there a woman in the Old Testament who killed
someone with a nail? When I was on a mission, we had her in a skit. She
saved her entire nation by following the Lord's bidding.
Yes, her name was Jael (Judges 4:l7,21 - She was praised by Deborah (Judges 5:24-26)
