Golden Hour

(Golden Hour is the hour we focus on the spiritual aspect of the "theme" of camp.  Much like a YW lesson or Seminary lesson)  We have many non-lds girls that attend our camp, and they would call it "bible study", but in reality it is more like Growing Spiritual 101.  This is a very important role for a special, enthusiastic leader.  The last leader we had was very careful to give the lesson as it pertained to the girls of THAT age ("there is a huge difference between a 12 yrold 1st year as to an 17 or 18 yrold JC!!!"

THE GOLDEN HOUR  BOOK- is usually at the back of the manual.  I've also seen it that starting as a cover and book is the golden hour, and then for the Camp book etc, it is turned the other way and is a cover page and book (much like a Speigal Catalogue or JC Pennys book used to be)  It is for 4 lessons (mon, tues, wed, thurs)This is all up to the Golden Hour Lady as to how many stories-scriptures-poems-talks to go along with the theme, and pages to write in and fill out, pictures too if applicable.

Part one -Book- The Basic of Camp
Cover page - The Theme, The scripture, the Stake & Place

Good Deed Beads

Each person here at camp, GIRLS AND LEADERS, show how they can Arise and Shine Forth being an example to others, shining their "light".  We all demonstrate what we are made of while showing the person we are and what we want to be.

This week at camp we all need to think about the Young Women Values (faith, divine nature, individual worth, knowledge, choice and accountability, good works and integrity).

The GOOD DEEDS that you see in others will be rewarded with a GOOD DEED BEAD. You need to pay attention to your fellow campers and leaders and nominate them for a GOOD DEED BEAD.   The following list gives a few ideas for each area, but try to come up with some of your own.
