Camp Hold Your Torch High

Our theme is Hold your Torch High.

The two crafts we are doing are:
1.  bleach stamped bandanas.  We just bought head scarves at Hobby Lobby in value colors, and some foam stamps, then dip ( rub w/ a q-tip) the stamps w/ bleach and place on scarf.  It leaves and imprint and looks really cool.  Caution, the less bleach on the stamp the better.  This could also be done on 2 yds. of fabric to make a lava lava or sarong.

2.  Sand Footprints.   You will need sand and plaster of Paris.  You stand in moist sand and leave footprints and then pour in plaster paris.   When the footprint is set up you take the footprint our and the sand is stuck to it.  It looks really neat! Then you can etch or attach a card that says "Stand ye in Holy Places"   *Contributed by: Wpstelly@aol.com   save them until the end for the then use them as part of the centerpieces on the table (goes for camp too, last dinner) and have numbers in front of them--let everyone go around and try to identify whose hand it is.  Point for each right answer.  (Also see The Paths We Trod)
and also Stepping Stones

You could also make sand castles from a sand dough,  or there is always bracelets or necklaces.  We considered making leis as well.   Shell candles are beautiful too.  You could also decorate flip flops.   They are so inexpensive and popular.  We are having a spiritual "survivor" fashion show.  Not to mention a luau.  We will also be having a good fish deed net.  When a yw is "caught" doing a good deed her name will be put on a fish and put in the net.  Hope this helps.
