Temple Sealing

Sumbitted by Lisa - UT

When I teach about the temple I like to use this object lesson. Get several coins. Put them in an envelope but don't seal it. See if the girls can make the coins stay together in the envelope when they tip it upside down (without holding onto them through the envelope).  Several girls could try. Then seal the envelope and see if the coins will stay in together when the envelope is tipped upside down.

Just like the coins, no matter how hard we try we cannot stay together as a family after this life unless we are SEALED!

I just did this lesson and made a handout with the candy "Now and Later".   The thought was "Prepare NOW to marry LATER".  I also used the song by Michael McLean "Together Forever". It's a medley with "I Know that my Redeemer Lives". There is a musical interlude toward  the end and that's were I read the thought that is in the conclusion of the lesson. Hope this helps.
