We didn't do this for a new Bishopric, but it worked great to get to
know the men better already in the Bishopric. We had a box and let kids
put in any question at all. Of course, if there were any inappropriate
questions, they didn't get asked. (I told them this, and there weren't
any.) We had them write questions for a couple of weeks. The Bishop
was a little nervous and wanted to see them ahead of time, (even though
the kids didn't know that.) Anyways the youth were told they could ask
any question about the Bishopric's lives or about the gospel. We had
both. They all three answered the questions at a fireside sitting at
the front of a table. We found out their interests in high school, as
well as when they developed their own testimonies. Great evening for
all!! Suggested by someone else at one of these websites. (So I don't
get credit!) Enjoy! Jackie
We also recently did one, where the
youth each brought an object around the house, that they could relate to
a gospel theme or message. We tried to stump the bishopric. They
discussed the object and decided how it related to the gospel. Fun
gospel oriented evening. Also not original.
