Here's a great activity for your YW in light of recent events.
Freedom's Candle

Get a sheet of beeswax made for rolled candles and cut it into two triangles. Place a wick (usually included in the package) on the end opposite the point and roll it up into a taper candle.  Make sure the wax is pliable.  It will crack if it's too cold.

Include this poem:

FREEDOM'S CANDLE

Like the flicker of a candle's flame,
Our hearts burn strong inside.
We light the wick and let it grow,
In mem'ry of those who've died.

We see the colors dance above,
The pillar down below.
Like angel's hov'ring gently near,
To Guard against the foe.

So lift your candle - Burn it bright,
For all the world to see.
For none can shroud our Freedom's Flame
In The Land of Liberty.
