Extreme Makeover

Contributed by: Mindi in Utah

I LOVE this idea! I think it sounds so fun. Maybe you could have a basket or a table display that had things that they could pull out
or look at to help them with their make-over...scriptures about attitude (being of good cheer etc.), quotes, stories/books that lift your spirit, etc. Our Gospel Doctrine teacher made a comment once about how nice it would be if you were having a bad day or a bad attitude day and you could just reach into the medicine cabinet and pull out your "prescription" that would change your attitude. Instead of pulling out a prescription bottle filled with "happy" pills, he thought it would be great if you pulled out a prescription bottle that said "cure for depression and bad attitude" and inside the bottle was a rolled up piece of paper that said "I am a child of God". I thought that was great! I used to work at a pharmacy and we sold empty prescription bottles all the time for really cheap. You could fill them with quotes on attitude, scriptures, and the phrase "I am a child of God". You could talk about how the things work on Extreme Makeover...surgery for this, pills for that...and talk about how our extreme makeover comes from the inside and can start with something as simple as being reminded who we are and where we came from. That sounds like such a fun idea! Please let us know what you come up with.
