this past weekend that I thought I'd pass along. She said, "Giving a Talk is easy.
Just remember: E-A-S-Y
E - Share an EXPERIENCE
A - APPLY it to a Gospel Principle
S - Use the SCRIPTURES to reinforce the principle
Y - Bear YOUR testimony
Simple isn't it :-)

Our Branch just did a sacrament program. The
youth decided on the theme "families". Each one of them (ten) gave a short
talk about families. Some focused on genealogy, FHE, special moments as a family,
Plan of Salvation etc. I gave them the E.A.S.Y. way to write a talk. Three
nonmembers spoke and their families came to hear them. They sang the songs
"Families can be Together Forever" and "Love is Spoken Here". It
was very touching to hear young people talk about their love for their families. The
nonmembers now always say "Let's sing those songs we learnt" We all felt
the spirit. I think they wanted to participate because they were in charge.
Hope this helps you.
