Sisters, this morning as I was preparing the packets for my girls to play conference bingo I came up with a brilliant - for me - idea. LOL I was trying to make Bingo cards - I needed 48 because I am giving each girl a separate card for each session of conference. It was looking like too much work when I came upon the idea of using store made Bingo cards, giving the girls a key to work from that would have words/phrases that correspond with a number 1 - 75. This way too, you can use words/phrases that would be difficult to find a graphic for.

You can buy cheap Bingo sets or, as I am doing, photo copy the set you already have access to on card stock. This way it will only cost about 15 cents per girl for the cards. I am offering an incentive of a prize and the winner will also pick an activity for the entire class - pizza/sundae or popcorn and video party. I hope this encourages them to at least think about it. I have a good number of girls from inactive/non-member homes, so they need a little extra encouragement. I have included the list of words/phrases I am using if anyone else wants to go this route.

The bingo idea we will be using is played with a blank bingo sheet, just the squares. I will have a poster made up of words they are likely to hear at conference as well as names of those they are likely to see and hear from. They will fill in their own sheets from the lists on the poster. They will get small dixie cups of M&M's to place on the page as they hear or see the things they have put on their sheet. When they get a line completed they can call out BINGO and get some more M&M's. We'll be playing this at our YM president's house, where we will be having breakfast with the young men before the Saturday morning session of conference and then watching that session together as he has a satellite dish.
