One thing my sister did last year which would work great is applying decorative tissue paper to the cardstock. She made cute half boxes out of card stock, and before she made them she glued cute Christmas tissue paper on the card stock with spray on adhesive.

If you have a scrap book store nearby, they often have die cut machines on hand and there are some neat die cut boxes that you can make from card stock.

Michaels has little paper mache boxes for about 50 cents. They come in different shapes round, heart, oval and square. I bought some metallic blue paint and some cute stickers to paint them and decorate them with. They turned out cute. Also the Bright Impressions Young Women Umph! volume 2 has a cute little box pattern that you can photocopy.

I made the boxes and put the talents in the boxes. I copied the last part of the article "Idea List: Unearthing Your Talents" by Marissa D. Thompson where it gives ideas and gave them each one of those with a chocolate coin attached. To tie it in with the talents scripture story.
