I did a bouquet of pens with flowers in all the value colors and then we use them when we need a pen for the girls. You just get a flower and using florist tape attached it to the top of the pen and then wind the florist tape around the pen so it looks like the stem. I put them in a decorated clay pot with marbles to hold them in place.

When I was with the Miamaids I made flower pens and put them in a vase for the centerpiece. Then whenever we needed a pen to write it was there and the girls wouldn't run off with them. They loved the idea!! It was easy too...I used blue flowers, but you could use all the value colors. Get the same amount of ball point pens and buy some green flower tape, you can find it at Wal-mart in the craft section for about a dollar. You then put the pen next to the stalk of the flower and wrapped the green tape around the pen until it is covered. Make sure to cut the stalk to fit halfway down the pen.
