Baptismal Covenants

Contributed by: Alice G - YW Connection

We had a baptism in our area yesterday and the Elders put the following in the program.  Thought it might be helpful in any lesson re: baptism, repentance, Sacrament, etc :-)  Not sure if this was something they came up with or found somewhere else, but I liked the simplicity.

BAPTISMAL COVENANTS

When I am baptized, I make covenants with the Lord to:

bulletCome unto the fold of God and be called His people
bulletRepent of my sins continually throughout my life
bulletBear one another's burdens and love one another
bulletStand as a witness of God at all time and in all places.
bulletServe Heavenly Father and keep His commandments.

When I keep my baptismal covenants, the Lord promises to:

bulletForgive my sins as often as I sincerely repent.
bulletPour out His Spirit more abundantly upon me.
bulletGive me daily guidance and help from the Holy Ghost, thus enjoying peace, happiness, and revelation.
bulletGrant me exaltation and eternal life with Heavenly Father in His Celestial Glory.

When I worthily partake of the Sacrament, I renew my baptismal covenants.
