We had the word “becoming” embroidered on a white piece of material to give to each of the girls at New Beginnings.  Then during the year the girls will be given quilt squares of the different value colors that they will paint the “becoming words” on.  Then we will let each girl choose the material for the back of the pillow and trim on the front.  We will then teach the girls how to quilt these pieces together and make a pillow to remember this year’s focus. These pillows will be displayed during Young Women in Excellence.
