We are using lighthouses to gift to the girls to remind them to Rise and shine forth…I was able to find some at the Dollar Tree (everything is a $1.00) that are pretty cute but not huge.  We will give them to the girls on their birthday for the next year to correspond with the theme.  At our New Beginnings, we’ll be talking more about the theme and how lighthouses are used as to help ships, etc. to go along with the theme as being “a standard”.  We also thought that when those battery operated candles (they look like something like the lighted candles children’s choirs carried long ago) go on sale after the holidays we’d get them to use at our New Beginnings and throughout the year and then present them to the girls at YW in Excellence as a favor to remember the theme all year.  We talked about having the girls learn a song to go with the theme and sing it while holding their “candles” with the rest of the lights off at YW in Excellence.  Anyway, just ideas we’ve been bouncing off each other since the theme came out.
